For the last one month, Pandora has been with me, playing hundreds and thousands of songs, non-stop. Sometimes I think, if I should get down and rip the songs off the website.
So after I gave my clients a final demonstration on Saturday, I was complete free today. After doing a little R&D I realized that it was quite easy to rip music off pandora. Those guys sure are a little lax on security. Anyways, so after spending a good 4-5 hours, I was able to finish off the down loader I had in mind.
The first version can be downloaded here.
The key features in v1.0 include
1> Only download songs which you like, preventing cluttering your hard disk.
2> Can be used without running the actual radio.
3> Queued Download.
4> Check for duplicate files.
5> Asynchronous Data Download.
Over the next few weekends, I plan to add the following functionalities as well :
1> A global database for song listing.
2> Search option for song selection.
3> Adding a mp3 player inside the application.
Do try it out, and let me know if you find some bugs!!!
Also if pandora helps you find out some cool songs…
awesome app, a little rough but the easiest to use.
Thanks. I haven’t really been able to spend much time on it yet, but will soon make it a lot more stable.
Do let me know if you have any suggestions.
