According to Google Operating System, Google has acquired another start up for $23 million. It fades in comparison to YouTube, but I guess this is still BIIIIIGGGGG money.
Does anybody have any ideas about how many companies has Google acquired in India, and what domain were they working on?
We need to get more of our companies at get at par with the foreign counter parts, but it all looks so unrealistic here. We keep hearing about the need for more product companies in India, like the Silicon valley, but after my three month stint so far, I fail to realize if there is a domestic Indian market to cater for the software that can be created. The silicon valley has some distinct advantages, which are just not available here. What is it, that India needs to do, to promote a more innovative approach to software industry, which these days has turned synonymous with the services industry, though it should not be.
