The real estate community is going to get it’s first exchange in India. It’s not a government undertaking, but a website called Jaydaad, which says it would start operation by June this year.
Getting real estate to retail is an interesting idea, but we would have to wait and see how it works out. Given the fact, that most real estate brokers are already infamous, for like me, everybody has heard of a family which got duped while trying to buy land or has seen Khosla ka Ghosla.
For people to start investing in such a portal, it would be essential to somehow bring about a sense of security among them. How the website is going to tackle this problem, is anybody’s guess. But reagardless of investing, you would be able to keep a tab on the real estate prices in your city.
