Sourceforge is probably the biggest compilation of open source projects that is available to us today. And the more you search the site, the more you keep coming up with amazing softwares which people have built. So I have decided to create a section where I will highlight some really good projects that I keep coming across on Sourceforge.
The one project which has caught my fancy this week, has been ZK. According to its developers, “ZK is an open-source Ajax Web framework that enables rich user interface for Web applications with little programming. With event-driven components and a markup language, developing is as simple as programming desktops and authoring HTML.”
Some code samples, which display what all ZK can do, can be seen here (Link). I have been playing around with it for a few days, and it is quite interesting. Though I was always fascinated with Ajax, I never really got introduced to it. But the more I read, the more I keep getting interested. What ZK does is, that it makes Ajax super easy to use.
Suggestions, feedback and alternatives are welcome from everybody who’s ever spend more time with these.
