Starting today, we have provided a new feature on Sudhanshuraheja.com to assist you in finding more relevant stories regarding entrepreneurship. This service would be called Gyaan Sutra
What is Gyaan Sutra?
Gyaan Sutra is yet another place where users would be allowed to vote and submit interesting stories. However, the one subtle difference with the other hundreds and thousands of such other sites is that the stories would be centered around the topics which I like discussing on the blog, that is business, software and entrepreneurship, in India and beyond though not exactly in that order.
Why Gyaan Sutra?
Gyaan Sutra exists to provide an interface for the interaction of entrepreneurs, budding and wannabe, and people who work for startups. In the last few years, the barriers in starting up have gone down considerably in India. And with the advent of broadband internet in our homes, more and more people are looking for the chance to get involved with something of their own.
Working for MNC’s is boring, because a good stable job might have been a good enough for our parents, but our generation is looking for adventure. We are the new age tech-ninjas, ready to pick our battles with the dinosaurs.
This place is designed for all those who are sitting in air-conditioned offices, cribbing about their bosses at lunch and wondering what to do about the increasing waist and receding hairline. All of across companies are alike in a way. All of us are captured in hi-tech prisons, with smaller and smaller friend circles, and longer and longer hours in the office. Just because there is nothing to do when you come back home.
Gyaan Sutra brings to all it’s users, stories about individuals like us, who have taken it upon themselves to get them out of the rut, and work towards a brighter future. Entrepreneurship is not just about getting more money or about getting rid of your boss, it is about adventure. A lot of money is always lost, and there are always new bosses who are even more demanding than your last one, but it is the will to explore new territories which keeps you alive and energized. It is about walking in lands never before imagined, it is about turning God and breathing life into world changing ideas.
This is the time, for us to turn to something new. We are at the perfect place in history, with the increasing demand for software, the exploding economy, and the years of preparation that we have already put in to learn the tricks of this new trade.
Entrepreneurship is the buzz word these days, and it deserves it, and mostly for one reason alone. It does not matter how much your experience, or how many your contacts, it is just about you. If you have the guts and the vision to go looking for that simple idea, and execute it to perfection, you will be remembered, not just in your company, but the world over. You will tell your kids that you started it. And they will tell theirs.
The old are dead and the new have come of age. So if you are interested in opening up, now or maybe in a few years, or after you get married, or after you have saved so much, or after you have convinced your investor about how worthy your idea is, the one thing that you will definitely need is information. Information about what is going on in your industry, in your business. Not just in India but across the world, how are VC’s are screwing companies in the US, and how are the governments are pumping entrepreneurs in Hong Kong, and how other Indian entrepreneurs are fighting the odds. There is so much to know, and yet there is only limited time.
This is where Gyaan Sutra come in. Here we provide you with the most important people, news and stories that are relevant to us in the Indian Context. And then it is up to you to separate the wheat from the chaff. This is the place where you can come to do your research about the market you are aiming at. This is where you put in new stories that you have found, because it will help someone hundreds of miles away from you, in his or her research. It is an unending loop which would help each of us in the process.
So without anymore ado, I present to you :
