Bangalore based Lake Systems is setting up its first BPO in Nashik near the MIDC area. It is their second BPO in Maharashtra. The company would employ 100 people initially, and would start operation by end of April 2007.
The major focus of the company is on medical transcription (MT) and most of their customers are from Australia and US.
The size of the business generated by the MT industry in India is estimated at $5 billion annually. The main hubs for MT are Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi, though a lot of new centres are opening up in Pune, Kochi, Coimbatore and Naskik.
