Travelmartindia has recently launched a mobile payment service using Paymate’s mobile gateway. With this new service it has added itself to the huge list of Indian companies which have started using mobile payments for it’s services. Earlier Jet Airways and Hutch had launched the mobile airline ticketing service.
The mobile payment market in India is progressing as fast as the e-commerce scenario. Within a very short span of time, Paymate has added a huge number of websites to its arsenal. Recent additions include Future Bazaar, Gold Cabs, CRS Hearth and Planet M.
Paymate currently offers this service only to Citibank suvidha card customers but a number of credit and debit card companies are joining the Bandwagon. Citibank, ofcourse has been the market leader in bringing newer and better technologies to the Indian Market.
