WebYantra, reports about a new company from Bangalore which has recently launched WWIGO (pronounced ‘vigo’). WWIGO is about using your mobile phone instead of your webcam.

The idea is that users need to download their software on their mobile, and then it would be possible for the users to start using their mobile phones as a webcam, which would be compatible with all internet applications which require a webcam.

The software uses Bluetooth to communicate between the phone and the PC.

The idea is amazing, and there is a video posted on the webyantra blog, which was made using this software.

Though I can’t help but wonder if a company like Nokia likes this idea, would it create its own product which would essentially do the same thing, or buy this firm.

Motvik

UPDATE: There is already a product like that in the market. (Link)
