Finland’s Nokia has announced that it would start mobile advertising services called Nokia Ad Service and Nokia Advertising Connector. The Nokia Ad Service would allow advertisers to run targetted ads at mobile phones. While Nokia Advertising Connector would be for third party publishers.
These services would start in Europe in March and globally during the second half of this year.
As other forms of advertising are turning out to be less and less personal, more advertisers are looking at the possibility of using mobile phones to deliver advertisements.
