Pune Newsline on PIFF 2007

Pune Newsline has an article today on the recently concluded Pune International Film Festival 2007. It talks about how PIFF is not what it used to be and that the number of delegates has gone down by almost 40%. Also they were complains about the quality of films, and lack of information and advertising.

I don’t think that the quality of film went down this year, some of the films were just awesome. (Please, please, don’t kill this film festival). About the number of people, I don’t have the exact figures, but I reckon the situation at Inox was similar to Adlabs last year. I never went to Esquare so no idea about that.

But yes, the website was crappy. I blogged about it here, and here, and it never got updated with new information. Last year an excel with the listing was available two weeks in advance. This time, even when the festival started, information was only available for the first three days.
But well I quote this article not just because they covered PIFF, but also because they also “quote” me :)
