Rajesh Jain starts venture fund called Emergic; makes first investment with Mobifusion

Rajesh Jain (the IndiaWorld founder) has floated a venture fund called Emergic Ventures, which has already made it’s first investment in Mobifusion.com, a US based mobile content and applications company. Along with other investors, they have invested $3.1 million in the company.

In the winters of 1999, Rajesh Jai, (who also runs a blog called Emergic), sold a group of Internet sites under the banner IndiaWorld to Sify for Rs 500 crore. Ever since he has been an evangelist for broadband and mobile companies.
