Everywhere I go, people tell me that they are making money off adsense. So many toms, dicks, harries are now adsense success stories. And I thought that it was all true. So what did I do? I told my boss to go screw himself and left my job. I ran back home and setup adsense on my blog.

That day was three months ago (check how old this post is). For the last three months, I have read up every success story about adsense about how so and so American made a fortune off adsense, and stories on his blog about what a blessing Adsense is and what not before he starts a rant about mashups or the US president. And everyday I told myself that yes, all those stories are true, Adsense is God’s avatar, and it’s here to eradicate poverty. And I consistently tried to write in more articles every day, so that more and more people came in every day, so that I could get more pageviews, and ultimately I could get some real money with which I could pay my ISP and hosting provider and landlord and get a gift for my girlfriend’s birthday and take my friends out to a party and get a new car and buy a new house etc.

But unluckily for me, damn adsense just does not pay. The latest stats say that I have earned $10 over the last three months.

I just don’t get it. What do I need to do to get those buggers to pay me some?

So what I’m asking you to do is show us how much are you earning through adsense. A lot of people are planning to start a business based on adsense earnings. Maybe I can use the statistics you provide me to dissuade them from doing so. Also, if you put up a clip of your adsense earnings on your blog, add a link to the comments, and I will add your link up here. So that all our budding geniuses know how much people are really making off adsense.

    Well for starters:

    1. You’ve placed adsense on your homepage at least three times, and now the top ad is a default non-profit. Less is more.

    2. The name of your website doesn’t include a tagline that describes what you’re blogging about - so you’re getting some very generic ads. The googlebots don’t know what a “ataraxia” is - how about a hint?

    3. AdSense isn’t a quick way to get rich, don’t buy the hype. For adsense to work well you need to create quality content and attact an audience.

You want to know why you aren’t making any money with adsense? Because your blog sucks. If you were browsing the internet and came across this website, what would you think? The biggest misconception people have is that they think making money with adsense is a breeze. I know that’s how most people make it sound, but is not mate. It took me a couple of years before i was making enough money online to quit my job, but i did it. I reccomend you do some research and start writing some interesting stuff if you want to make money. Anyone can come up with great ideas, but it takes a smart man to develope them.
