Yatra.com, the latest travel portal in the Indian market has claimed that it is generating sales of close to $5 million a month. These are generated by selling almost 2500 tickets and 150 rooms a day. At this rate, the company hopes to break even by the end of 2008.
Yatra.com has also recently announced a collaboration with Reliance Web World for booking hotel rooms. The pilot has been launched in 48 centres in 3 cities.
MakeMyTrip.com, the market leader in the segment, makes close to $10 million a month.
