It had been a long time since Cannan Partners had invested in a company. The last time, they had put it close to $9 million in BharatMatrimony.in. Recently, they have invested $2-3 million in a Delhi based startup which provides Remote Desktop services to their US and UK clientèle.
Deepak Karma, general partner, Cannan, elaborated that they are looking for companies which work in the Internet and product development space, and specifically for those which are more localised.
The company has also funded DoubleClick, CommerceOne, Match.com and Blue Frog Mobile in the US earlier. They recently opened a new office in India in 2006. After starting their first office in Gurgaon, they have opened two new offices in India.
