Gyaan Sutra’s Latest Online in India Series #1

So many new services come out every week that it is impossible to keep track of all of the new ones. Also, I have observed that since every web application that comes up is not always interesting to me, I tend to talk about only those which seem particularly interesting to me. But this means that I leave some which might be useful to you. So from today, I start my latest series of the latest and the best of the Online Services for us here in India.

1. NetLawMan

A UK based legal services company has launched a website aimed at India to help you solve your legal issues. They also intend to make the process cheaper. NetLawMan offers advisory services for buying a house to business and marriage and divorce. They also provide legal clarifications for Rs 500.

2. Order Pizza on the Train

Even though it might be an unlikely candidate for the Latest Online in India Series, Indian Railways has booked a berth here with a new service. The new service would allow users to make hotel bookings, reservations, travel booking, order food etc. All this would be done on a different site (other that irctc.co.in)

To make your transactions more secure, and to avoid the hi-tech babus of the Indian Railways from stealing from you, the website would not have the option to save your credit card numbers or pin.

4. Grahak 2.0 – Voice your frustrations

After reading Rashmi Bansal’s complaints against ICICI, Startup Dunia, one of India’s best Entrepreneurship Blog, has started a website where you can talk about your experiences with the mighty corporations.

Because of ever-expanding markets we the consumers have had to make do with mediocre services in everything from ISP’s to Banking to Reservations. So it is a good idea to have a common place where you can read and talk about your frustrations with the services.
