Tapefailure : Record your website users recording sessions

Some websites are just cool. You look at them once and you know you really want to try it out. Everyday you come across many such websites, but only some stick and the rest, well, just fade away.

Anyways, here is one of those you really would want to try out. It is called TapeFailure. This application, which resides on your page as a small 10kb javascript, records whatever your users do on your website. Yes, it records. It doesn’t tell you who came to your website, but it tells you something more relevant, what they did when they came to your site.

It sounds strange but if knowing the IP of whoever came to your blog is quite a useless bit of information. Yes it does have it’s occasional uses, but it isn’t one that we use a lot. But what this site tracks is important. You need to know exactly what your client read, where did she click, what did she skip, so that you can help make your site more user-friendly.

Like most such applications, even this one is going to make you wait for sometime before it lets you use the service, because registration is not yet open. So what are you waiting for? Isn’t this something you would definitely like to try? Go on, put in your email id and do let me know when you’ve tried it.
