AlooTechie : IndiaTimes gets Web 2.0 features?

AlooTechie, one of the best blogs on the Indian Online Industry, of which I’m a big fan, writes about the the new look of IndiaTimes.com. He brings out a really interesting point about the ad for Shaadi.com, which competes with indiatimes own simplymarry.com.

Other than that, it’s just strange that all makeovers are now called Web 2.0. And I just can’t understand what is so Web 2.0 with the indiatimes site? Just using blue doesn’t make it that, does it? There are no bold typefaces, nothing to make it standout really. Maybe it just feels good because the old one was pathetic? Any ideas?

HindustanTimes seems to have been changed too. And the new design is better, definitely better than that of IndiaTimes. But somehow it looks more like a blog. I can swear I have seen blogs which look exactly like this one.

Alootechie simply copies content. Have you seen a single original article on his blog?
They are all copied from AgencyFaqs and Exchange4Media.

WATblog.com were the ones to break the news of the Indiatimes re-design.
