The guys at Google have showed us yet again that they excel at a terrific user interface. The new look of Google Analytics has had me speechless. Take a look at the snapshot of the last month above, the design is just well, beautiful.

The interface has definitely become more user-friendly. One great detail that it now provides is that you can click on the map for any particular continent and you get to see the stats for the same.

Another great feature which has been added is

Navigational Summary

which tells you how did people get to a particular page, and how many people got from jumped from one page to the other.

Along with the details for any given time, it now also provides comparison with the website average, so that you know when you are getting more traffic, and how much more.

The time selection display has also changed. Though I looks quite good, it irritated me for some time, because when you open it, if you need to change the starting date, you need to go and select that first. I think it wasn’t like that earlier. But it looks beautiful nonetheless.

And finally, when you view any of the plots, there is this small window which keeps jumping around giving you the date and metric. Also if you view your results for the last few months, the display does not get cramped up like it used to. Now it gets smoothed before getting displayed.
