In case you still haven’t heard about it, Google has started a funding program for companies who are creating products related to Google Gadgets.
The idea is simple, if you’re already built a Gadget which is included in the Google Gadget Directory and gets over 250,000 weekly page views, they are willing to hand over $5000 to you.
If you get the above, and want to take it up further as a complete business, Google is willing to fund $100,000 on the deal. (If I remember correctly, that was the exact amount Google started up with.)
You can also check this out if you’re looking to create widgets for your product. Though in this case you’d need to make one for the Google Directory and it needs to get popular enough.
Who knows maybe they might even acquire you one day.
