
The second edition of Proto.in was held in Chennai on the 21st-22nd of July 2007. Even though I was unable to attend the event, I have heard that it was extremely well organized and brought a number of good companies to light.
Even though I received a well worded sorry mail which said,
Unfortunately, we do have a bit of sad news. We evaluated your company and product, and ran it through our panel of experts to validate it. The ratings and feedback we have received were not as high as the companies that we have finalized for this edition of Proto. We are sorry to say that your company did not make it to the final list of companies that would be presenting at the this edition of Proto.

Inasra.com – Online Hotel Booking (low end hotels, something like yellow pages)
Lucid – Testing. Product called NDT Mulam
MDT – Malaysian Firm (Something on RFID)
Minekey – Started by IITians, but no idea what do they do.
Pramati – Dekoh Desktop (Featured on TechCrunch a long time back)
Mocodile – Sends documents from PC to GPRS enabled mobiles
RouteGuru – Online Mapping Service
TechMedia – Video Publishing. Product called TechKriti.
Thinx Works – Clay Animation
TISS – Malaysian Firm. Security Key (flash drive which protects)
TolMolBol – Local Search / Classifieds / Reviews (Interviewed on Gyaan Sutra before)
Tyroo – Ad network (backed by Yahoo)
Wifin Technologies – Live stock market data and secure mobile trading (Mobistream)
Ziva – Mobile search platform Zook.in (funded by Nadathur Holdings)
