While going through my feeds yesterday, I came across something really interesting on the ProgrammableWeb feed. Cleartrip, one of the best looking airline websites in India, is planning to start an API.
This seems to have been started in conjunction with Mashery.com. However, no details are available yet. You can register and tell them about your app (I think Mashery does that by default), but the documentation is really empty.
The number of queries per day would be restricted to 1,000 a day.
Will keep you updated as soon as I have more news. In case you find something about it, do let me know.

What’s so interesting about this?
Why would you be interested in an API from Cleartrip anyway?

Rakesh, if you have an application which uses locations, you can now also include a realtime price of air tickets to that place.
Say you’re staying in Pune and you go to Delhi frequently, a service would drop you a mail as soon as prices get slashed for any reason…
But the best would be to create a virtual model of the realtime expected airtraffic over all of India.
It’s data afterall, you can use it however you like!!

Cleartrip may not have an API, but we do free up as much data as we can. So, if you’re hungry for data, try our RSS feeds for flights and hotels:
