About

I started Gyaan Sutra to keep in touch with the changing shape of the Indian Online Industry. As more and more companies get funded, Indian startups will eventually start innovating with much greater freedom, than is available now. It will take it’s time, but with the increasing broadband and mobile connectivity, the Indian e-commerce scenario will make one big leap. So it is important to keep the journey documented, to inspire all those who will follow behind.

As I write this, I know that we now have broadband coverage which provides a speed of up to 4Mbps, and by the end of this year, 3G mobiles would provide a download speed of 4Mbps on mobiles as well. We have far overgrown our own expectations in the last few years.

And with time, the government interference in business will go down, mindless censorship will end, Indian stock markets will stabilize and India would start leading the world Gold prices. All this would happen within our own lifetimes, and we would see India emerge from it’s own shadows.

Gyaan Sutra is here to collect the common wisdom, from successes and failures of hundreds of entrepreneurs, into a common database, freely accessible to every entrepreneur who hopes to starts up.

So if you have ideas or experience, please contact us or send us a link to your blog post or send us an article. We would be much obliged to publish it.

Cheers,
Sudhanshu

My name is Shalini Chopra, and I work for a startup called Yalwa. While browsing through Internet I came across your Blog Gyan Sutra and found it have nice collection of articles relating to startups and businesses as well music and so on.

I would like to share the information about our recently launched website ‘askalo’ ( http://www.askalo.in/ ) . The name ‘askalo’ stands for ‘ask a local’ and it is the local question and answer (Q/A) portal we have developed for India and it covers 79 Indian cities. It is a one-stop place to know all about a city from the locals. With categories like ‘Going Out’ , ‘Shopping’ , ‘Education & Care’ and more, it helps to discover a city inside out in a fun and interesting way. It is very useful for students, city enthusiasts and people who are new in the city.

What askalo brings together is the natural eagerness to discover new things and urge to share what you know the best about your city. I welcome you to take a look at our site and discover for yourself all the great and fun features it has to offer. I am confident that your blog readers will love to know about this cool website. In case of any queries please feel free to come back to me.

  2. Hi Sudhanshu,
Your blog is interesting to read. The zeal and knowledge I see through your posts are truly of an entrepreneur. Actually we are looking for authors for our blog goospoos.com which is about web and software technologies. If you’re interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise with others you’re welcome. Though we are not any biggies but we would, in next 1 year. We can discuss payments and terms if you’re willing to jump in.
